23:02 < owl> ok. thx ;)
23:03 < capchaos> owl: have you compiled irssi with --enable-proxy (or similar) ?
23:04 < owl> capchaos: nope. cuz it seems to be a proxy for irc, after using --enable-proxy...
23:04 < capchaos> ah
23:05 < owl> the joke is, that if i am connecting to my proxy (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:80) the proxy gets the request resolves everything fine and so on... but... i can't connect to freenode e.g.
23:10 < tsa> you aren't using an http proxy, are you?
23:11 < owl> i'm using http-proxy
23:11 < d3mian> cya
23:12 < owl> bye d3mian
23:13 < tsa> ..and you are sure they don't mean some special irc proxy?
23:13 < owl> https://irssi.org/?page=docs&doc=proxy << i'm quite sure...
23:15 < tsa> # built-in proxy, which lets you utilize existing server connections from any other irc client.
23:16 < tsa> == start irssi1 on host1 and connect to a server; start irssi2 on host2 and connect to irssi1
23:16 < tsa> IMHO.
23:16 < owl> hmmm...
23:17 < tsa> so you'll have to run irssi on your proxy server..
23:18 < owl> yes. but on windows...?
23:18 < owl> *hust*
23:18 < tsa> ok, i wouldn't recommend running anything on windows at all..
23:19 < owl> *g* of course... but still i 'm too lazy to set up barracuda... (and also i first have to buy an udp-cable... no time...)
23:20 < tsa> hehe
23:21 < owl> don't laugh...
23:25 < owl> muhahahaha!
23:26 < tsa> ?
23:26 < owl> connection over socks is much better... "looking up..." " proxy disabled"
23:27 < owl> yes! putty...! ;)
