[05:51] <ewiget> question, why do i get the message Could not create ISO-MD5 tools when I am creating an iso image?
[07:05] Nick change: blindcod1r -> blindcoder
[07:10] <blindcoder> moin
[07:11] <blindcoder> ewiget: that's a good question. Try going to rock-src/misc/isomd5sum and run 'make'
[07:11] <blindcoder> ewiget: then you'll get a meaningful errormessage
[07:14] <ewiget> thanks....you awake enough for one more question?
[07:16] <blindcoder> sure
[07:16] <blindcoder> I just got up and have my coffee
[07:17] <ewiget> anyways, trying to install in vmware as a guest os, install went fine but trying to install vmware-tools. It keeps asking directing of c header files, and defaults to /usr/src/linux/include (which exists) but won't accept it - guess if you dont use vmware, you might not know this answer, which is understandable
[07:18] <ewiget> by the way, good morning, its about 1AM here
[07:19] <ewiget> typo - directing should be directory
[07:19] <blindcoder> morning it's 7 AM here :)
[07:19] <blindcoder> I've never been able to install vmware-tools in any Linux guest OS
[07:20] <ewiget> yea, I usually have a hard time too, but I cant get X to work at all in vmware
[07:20] <blindcoder> X used to work fine here
[07:20] <blindcoder> tried X -configure
[07:20] <blindcoder> then just starting it?
[07:21] <ewiget> didn't try that one, but I did the xorgcfg and other one...I will try X -configure
[07:28] <ewiget> screen just went completely black, had to reset vmware. No big deal - I just wanted to see how pretty it was...before running a test install on a system
[07:31] <blindcoder> well, ascribe it to one of the many quirks of vmware :)
[07:32] <ewiget> yea....I am only using vmware at the moment cause Im doing a side by side shootout between vmware and qemu - which I like a lot better than vmware, however, I couldn't get X to work in qemu either
[07:33] <blindcoder> :(
[07:33] <blindcoder> anyway, gotta go to work now
[07:33] <blindcoder> bbl
[07:33] <blindcoder> and good luck :)
[07:33] <ewiget> later and thanks for the help

[10:39] <blindcoder> esden: could you focus on one nick? *confused*
[10:46] <esden> blindcoder: it is only possible when I get some king of irc proxy running
[10:47] <esden> blindcoder: or an irc client that works client server ... ... the idea is bit difficult to bescrbe in two lines ...
[10:47] <esden> blindcoder: I think I have to write a blog post about that
[10:48] <blindcoder> do so :)

[13:38] <stf^rocklinux> looks like I'm the only dev using cups regularly, and I don't have the time to hunt bugs in cups atm...

[14:40] <esden> wow ... I think that is something you can call rain ... if you live in the area of munich you know what I mean ;)
[14:42] <daja77> we had 50l per squaremeter in one hour two days ago :)
[14:43] <daja77> and i was in the car hoping the trees would keep up
[14:52] <esden> urgh ...
[14:52] <esden> I really ask myself how much it is here this time
[14:52] <esden> it is still raining
[14:53] <esden> no ... sorry ... the outside changed to a pool;)
[14:53] <daja77> :)
[15:06] <mnemoc> 50l or 50ml?
[15:08] <blindcoder> I HATE THURSDAYS!!!
[15:17] <th> stf^rocklinux: if you suggest to delay that update - then we delay it.

[17:44] <stf^rocklinux> th: I do. I'm too busy with learning for exams right now. Besides I know next to nothing about cups, so it would probably take me much time to fix it :(
[17:44] <stf^rocklinux> Too bad it doesn't work out-of-the-box for my printer.
[17:49] <daja77> why?
[17:51] <stf^rocklinux> daja77: you mean cups 1.2.0 and my printer? No idea, the printer simply doesn't print when I send it some jobs... and the KDE printer manager has some problem connecting to the CUPS server iirc.
[17:51] <daja77> hm i could screw my working cups and give it a try
[17:52] <stf^rocklinux> btw. cups 1.2.1 is available... maybe this bug is already fixed.
[17:52] <daja77> oh new security patch first, stand by :)
