This is the homepage of the upcoming stable ROCK Linux 1.6 distribution.
Most of the work for the next stable version 1.6 is done - currently
it is in a testing phase.
Time Schedule for ROCK Linux 1.6
The new stable version 1.6 of ROCK Linux is on the way to be released.
Work is in progress to get ROCK Linux running on the
following platforms: x86, Alpha and UltraSparc. The results of the efforts
are very encouraging.
Optimisation
It's easy to optimise ROCK Linux for a specific type of machine and/or CPU.
ROCK Linux comes already with many example configurations for most Intel
and AMD CPUs. The configuration menu for ROCK Linux has been extended
to take care of the different CPU types.
