[OpenSCAD] Compile and Render large stl imports segfaults

I've been doing a lot of openscad mashups lately and importing large stl
files.  This one in particular is giving me problems:

After running for a very long time it eventually segfaults saying:

Qt has caught an exception thrown from an event handler. Throwing
exceptions from an event handler is not supported in Qt. You must
reimplement QApplication::notify() and catch all exceptions there.
