History of the release

Due to lack of time the 1.6.1 release got canceled! - The work focused on uniting the ROCK Linux folks and working towards the redesigned ROCK Linux 2.0 release ... So 1.6.1 version is a straigt-forward maintenance release many packages (including KDE-3.0.2 and the kernel-2.4.-19-rc1) are updated!

Also the usual security updates for ssh, apache and samba were done.

How do I install dRock?

Generic dRock installation instructions
You need a 2.4.x kernel (with devfs enabled), glibc-2.1.x or 2.2.x and the lib-tools-1.4.x on your host system if you like to compile dRock from scratch!
