Configuring XFree86-4
This file is pretty outdated and needs to be rewritten ... The preferred way to configure XFree86 version 4 is to hand-edit the shipped /etc/X11/XF86Config file. This is pretty easy. Only one mouse need to be uncommented or adapted, your graphic card's driver module name and the Frequency range of your monitor added. If you do this a 3rd time it is a 20 seconds taks. An even easier way is to execute XFree86 -configure. This automatically generates a config file for you. But this way you will have to overwrite our hand-tuned config file and many details (like 3D or TrueType support) might be missing ...
